Vaikundarajan shares the news of Google launching Android One Smart Phones with Micromax, Karbon and Spice in India. This is the first family of Android One phones in India and it is believed that it is a part of a bigger initiative to bring high quality smartphone to as many people as possible. Google says that the Android One Phones offer a high-quality experience, running the Android 4.4 KitKat. These phones will be the first to receive the Android L release and updates adds, Vaikundarajan. Google says it will offer the new ‘material design, improved battery life, enhanced security features, and smarter notifications,’ in this phone.
Airtel has also announced that it is offering a promotion to reduce data costs for those who buy Android One phones. With an Airtel SIM card, Android One users will be benefitted with free over-the-air (OTA) updates, and 200MB per month worth of app downloads from Google Play for six months. Vaikundarajan feels that now there is going to be tough competition in the smartphone market. These days with the world becoming more and more technologically advanced life is becoming simpler for the masses.
