Vaikundrajan’s favorite festival is Deepavali and he is so excited to celebrate Diwali this year. He feels that lights of festival Diwali end the darkness and spreads joy and happiness throughout the world. Diwali is celebrated in various regions according to their states. In north India celebrates 5 days of Diwali where the first day of Diwali is Dhanteras which is also known as “Dhanatrayodashi” or “Dhanvantari Trayodashi”.
On Dhanteras, Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped to provide prosperity and well being. Dhanteras holds special significance for the business community due to the customary purchases of precious metals on this day. Business community clean, renovated and decorated the business premises colourful rangoli design are made to welcome the goddess of Wealth and Prosperity. Lamps are kept burning all through the night.
Vaikundarajan also says that one should purchase gold or silver articles on this special day or you can also purchase any utensils. It is believed that new “Dhan” or some form of precious metal is a sign of good luck.
