Freedom 251 was slowly fading away from our memories. However, a new player in the market has refreshed our memories by launching their own range of smartphones at just Rs. 888. “Jaipur-based company called Docoss has quietly entered the market with the cheapest possible smartphone in India,” informs Vaikundarajan.
Phoneradar, a tech-blogging network, revealed that the company had recently setup a website and was taking pre-orders for the smartphone. The website promises to deliver the device by May 2 with cash on delivery.
Analysing the website, Vaikundarajan noted, “The website looks dull with little information available on the company. The company requires users to book the phone via an SMS. Surprisingly, there is no photograph of the phone on the website.”
The company promises interesting features for a low price. The phone has a 4-inch screen and runs on 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor. It has 1GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage with expandable option of up to 32 GB. The phone runs on Android Kitkat. The rear camera comes with 2MP while the front camera is VGA.
“For the price of Rs. 888 and these features, the phone most certainly sounds like a good deal. Whether this is a real deal or just another scam remains to be seen,” concludes Vaikundarajan.
