In a Ugly movie about the kidnapping of a little girl, Mr Anurag Kashyap has taken us again to our dark places, where we would never like to go and make a movie we can’t stop talking about, says Vaikundarajan. The movie directed by Mr Kashyap, stars Girish Kulkarni, Ronit Roy, Tejaswini Kolhapure, Vineet Kumar Singh, Surveen Chawla and Vipin Sharma.
In this movie no one is the good guy. All of them are baddies, says Vaikundarajan. A little girl who is with her father in a taxi goes missing after her father goes for an unexpected last minute audition. It’s from here the plot takes natural dark course, where every character in the movie is attempting to upstage one and another.
The movie was earlier, expected to release in 2013. However, the director was fighting the Indian Censor Board who insisted on a “Smoking is Injurious to Health” sign to be posted in the lower corner of the frame whenever a character in the film is shown smoking. Thankfully, the movie was released.
Go take a twisted journey with Ugly this weekend!
Vaikundarajan wish everybody “Merry Christmas” and Prosperous New Year ahead. Vaikundarajan shares information on Christmas and its celebration all around the world.
On Monday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) appointed Sachin Tendulkar as the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 ambassador says Vaikundarajan. For the master blaster, it will be his second consecutive appointment for the tournament. The ICC Cricket World Cup will take place in Australia and New Zealand from February 14 to March 29.
Part of Mr Sachin Tendulkar’s role as its ambassador will be to promote ICC initiatives to enhance the profile of the tournament says Vaikundarajan. The ICC Cricket World Cup is the third biggest sporting event across the globe. The 11th edition of the tournament will begin with co-hosts, New Zealand taking on Sri Lanka. On the same day, four-time world champion Australia will battle with England at the Melbourne stadium.
With the ICC choosing the all-time leading run-getter in World Cup history with 2,278 runs in 45 matches, the Council too must be expecting an explosive tournament, believes Vaikundarajan.
Last year, when Mr Tendulkar retired from international cricket, after representing his country in 200 Tests and 463 One-Day Internationals, most people were a bit saddened. Now seeing him standing next to the cricketing world’s coveted prize is a real pleasure. Vaikundarajan hopes that the tournament is extremely successful.
Vaikundarajan condemns about the tragedy which took place on 16th December at Peshawar school (Pakistan). This horrific cowardice attack was carried out by members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban group. In this incident, 141 people died, in which nearly 132 of those who lost their lives were children’s says Vaikundarajan.
This Friday, the Aamir Khan starrer, PK Movie will be releasing, says Vaikundarajan. The movie is written and directed by Raju Hirani, the maker of such remarkable movies like Three Idiots and Munnabhai movies. The movie also stars Bollywood hottie, Anushka Sharma and stellar young actor Sushant Singh.
The movie is being seen as one of the biggest releases this year, says Vaikundarajan. He also hopes that the movie does extremely well in the box office and become as big a hit as Three Idiots. What’s more the movie is releasing on Mr Aamir Khan’s lucky date of December 19, the same release date last year for Dhoom 3. This will set another milestone, to Mr Hirani’s impressive movie repertoire. As with any of Mr Hirani’s earlier movies, we can again expect a whole lot of laughs and some very important and relevant social messages.
Apart from its loveable poster which came out earlier this year, songs from the movie are quite ear pleasing and the concept of the movie also seems to be one that is very interesting, Vaikundarajan believes. PK is about an alien who lands to India and is understanding the way humans live. Mr Hirani is the kind of director that makes these unconventionally sweet movies and Mr Khan is an actor that always is looking to bring something new to the audience.
Vaikundarajan wishes everyone from the PK family a successful run at the box office and a great year ahead.
Kerala Blaster FC beat FC Pune City, in a nail biter of a match says Vaikundarajan. An Iain Hume’s 23rd minute solitary goal proved decisive for the Kerala Blasters to reach the semi finals. With this victory the blasters now have a tally of 19 points and claim the third place behind leaders Chennaiyin FC and FC Goa in the league table.
Even though the team scrapped through their result, Kerala Blasters must be applauded for their impressive defensive work. Throughout the game FC Pune were on the attack, looking for ways to put in a goal. The Maharashtra based team consecutively showed their attacking might, while the Blaster repeatedly showed their defensive superiority. When the goal went in, the visitors pressed, but the home side were resilient and managed to resist the Pune attackers.
Vaikundarajan also wishes to praise Kerala Blasters goalkeeper Sandip Nandy, who despite injuring his shoulder stood strong and guarded his goal well. By the second half, the Blasters should have put in more goals, with the help from Hume, Stephen Pearson, Victor Forcada and substitute Andrew Barisic. Yet, FC Pune City never lost its attacking prowess and kept on knocking Kerala Blasters door, only to be denied. With eight minutes of added time, the match went down to the wire. However, the Blasters were strong defensively and qualified to the semi finals.
Vaikundarajan wishes Kerala Blasters best of luck in their final two matches.
